The original spec number of the Command series was 62550, and the 24 522 155 shortblock replaces this. You cannot replace the Magnum series with a Command series without making major modifications. These include the muffler, mounting holes, flywheel adapter, throttle and choke, and wiring. If you have the Kohler Command engine, you could use the CH20S-64716 engine. The shaft is longer but it is drilled and tapped 2" deep and is not hardened steel so it can be cut down if needed. There may be minor differences like wiring, air breather, throttle and choke controls, but parts should be interchangeable as needed. You would have to use your flywheel adapter from the old engine and you would also more than likely have to use your old muffler as well.
