These mowers came with either a Briggs or Tecumseh engine with a 7/8" x 3-5/32" shaft. The orientation of the Briggs and Tecumseh engines will be different even though the mounting is the same. Also the safety brake will be set up differently. We recommend that you replace your engine with the same brand that you currently have.
