If replacing the Briggs engine, you can only use the L-head style engine in this tractor. There is plenty of room for the wider overhead valve engines, but the exhaust is on the opposite side of the engine and would not have room due to the location of the gas tank. When replacing the Tecumseh engine, you can use the TVM220-157306 engine that we have listed. You will have to remove the fuel tank from the engine and use your existing fuel tank on the mower.
