This unit has an electric cluth to engage the mower blades.The newer AVS engines have a larger air breather on them that make the engine about 2" wider than the original engine. You will have to make sure that you have the room to accommodate the size difference. You also need to make sure that you have the room for an oil filter if you purchase an engine with one on it.
